The Grove Focused Call: Demystifying the Sensory System to Help Regulate Children in the Outdoors

Each month inside The Grove is a focused live video conference call on a particular topic. The format includes a brief presentation followed by open discussion among attendees.

Lis Duckworth & Nicole Gordon of Outside OT will present this month’s Focused Call

This month’s call is titled, “Demystifying the Sensory System to Help Regulate Children in the Outdoors” and will be presented by guest contributors Nicole Gordon and Lis Duckworth of Outside OT. Is it “sensory” or is it “behavior?” Nicole and Lis return to demystify the sensory system (moving beyond the 5 senses!). Learn strategies to support childrens’ senses and reduce “challenging behaviors” in real-life scenarios that are specific to outdoor learning environments.

This event is for Grove members only. Click here to join The Grove, a community of nature-based educators learning and growing together, and attend this call. (Please note, members have access to recordings of all previous presentations.)
